Garden Update - Late Summer 2018

Well, it's officially late summer now and as much as I hate to see the end of the hot weather, it looks like the more extreme temperatures are behind us. It was a really intense summer, at least in the south eastern part of Australia, and although some of my plants didn't like that so much, I think it really helped others. My garden is full of growth and it's been so exciting watching my little green babies getting bigger every day. So I decided to do a little garden update for you, to let you know how everything is going.

Lemuria 101 - Facebook Live Replay

Last weekend I held a live session in my Facebook group, Modern Lemurians. A lot of people who follow me on social media have asked questions about Lemuria and expressed an interest in finding out more about it, so I thought I would share it with everybody. This, in a nutshell, is Lemuria 101!

Cherry Picking On The Mornington Peninsula

On my break away from social media, Mike and I decided to get some time away and headed down to the Mornington Peninsula over New Year's. We had such a great time there that we decided to come back with my father in law, and this time perhaps try one or two things we hadn't had the chance to try the first time round. One of those things was going cherry picking at Ripe 'N' Ready Cherry Farm, in Red Hill (just behind the beach town of Dromana).

Where I've Been...(Love People As They Are)

So if you only follow me on my website, you might not be aware that I have been taking a six-week break from YouTube and other social media. I will go into reasons for that below, but in short a few stressful events and overwork led to me having a "Screw it! I'm done!" moment and I just had to literally get away from the computer for a while. Here is my first video after coming back.

Beautiful Pai (Day 1)

Pai in the mountains of northern Thailand, not far from Chiang Mai, is simply...Pairadise! Seriously, it's so beautiful, especially in winter when there are lovely sunny days with blue skies followed by chilly nights and brisk mornings. It's so peaceful and after being there only a few hours I was exploring the possibility of staying there long term. Mike and I visited for a few days to celebrate our 6 month wedding anniversary and have a nice break after a few months of hard work. Here's how our first day in Pai went.

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

Are you wondering why this New Year's Eve post is dated in May? The reason is that for a while I was quite behind in my vlogs. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!   New Year's Even 2015 going into 2016 was awesome. I'm not sure whether it was because it was just Mike and me, whether it was because it was our first New Year's as digital nomads, whether it was because we were in Thailand (which we love so much) or maybe it was just the free hugs crew at Tha Phae Gate. Maybe it was just everything put together. Either way, I had a great time. Here is how my New Year's went, starting with a vlog of my daytime activities and then heading on to the actual evening itself.

Vegan Christmas Lunch 2015

Are you wondering why this Christmas post is dated as going up in May? That's because for a while in 2016 my vlogs were quite backlogged and it took me a while to get them up. I hope you enjoy this nonetheless!   Christmas is a much quieter affair in Thailand than it is in Western countries - Thai people love a celebration so there usually are Christmas decorations up here and there, and usually restaurants and other public places frequented by Westerners will have some kind of Christmas special going on. However, the day itself is just like any other day for Thai people and it's definitely not the "everything is shut" affair that it is in some Western cities and towns. Because it was our first Christmas as digital nomads, Mike and I had decided that it would be nice to have a lunch out somewhere. Here's where we went.

The Coolest Coffee In Chiang Mai

I don't put all of my vlogs up on my website (I leave a lot of my "what I did today" content on my YouTube channel, if you want to see more!), but I have decided to share this one with you! The reason for that is not only was it a great day but I felt that I really shared a few gems of Chiang Mai with you that might not be so easy to find on your own. Take a look.

Border Run To Mae Sai (Thai-Myanmar Border)

On our first go living in Thailand together, Mike and I had a multiple entry tourist visa, which meant we had to leave and re-enter the country every two months. Living in Chiang Mai, the easiest way to do this was to run up to the Myanmar border for the day and cross over. Here's how our first time went.
