Vegan beauty and skincare is not something I’ve spoken about much on my channel or blog before, and to be honest with you I’m definitely no expert when it comes to these things! One of the things I have found hardest about living in Thailand was that so many of the things I loved about it came with something I really do not love; single-use plastic. It is so easy and convenient to be healthy and nourished here, especially in Chiang Mai, but I really dislike the way vibrant, wholesome foods are often linked with a high amount of plastic use. After being here for a short time, I knew I had to change my own habits in order to reduce my plastic use as much as possible.

In November 2012, I had the chance to explore beautiful Phang Nga Bay in Thailand, not far from Phuket. One of the most fun experiences I took part in was going sea-canoeing through the gorgeous hongs, caves and limestone karsts in the area. But apart from just being a beautiful day, this experience was also life-impacting for me, as it is here that I first got a bee in my bonnet about plastic pollution and marine debris.
